Understanding Learning Resources
internetbased-learning.blogspot.com - In the area of instructional technology, learning resources are basically a component of instructional technology, which is referred to as "Instructional System Components". Instructional technology is a complex and integrated process that involves people, procedures, ideas, tools, and organizations to analyze problems, find ways to solve, implement, evaluate and manage problem solving in situations where teaching and learning activities are purposeful and controlled. . In instructional technology, problem solving is in the form of instructional system components that have been prepared in advance in the design or selection and utilization process, and are integrated into a complete instructional system, to realize a controlled and goal-directed learning process, whose components include messages, people, materials, equipment, techniques and background (Setijadi, 1986: 3).
Mudhofir (1992: 13) states that learning resources include a variety of information, scientific data, human ideas, both in the form of printed materials (for example books, brochures, pamphlets, magazines, etc.) as well as in non-printed form (for example film, filmstrip, cassette, videocassette, etc.).
AECT describes that learning resources include: messages, people, materials, tools, techniques and the environment. The components of learning resources used in teaching and learning activities can be distinguished by means of the existence of learning resources that are planned and utilized.
Learning resources that are deliberately planned (by design), namely all learning resources that have been specifically developed as components of an instructional system to provide focused and formal learning facilities. Learning resources because they are used (by utilization), namely learning resources that are not specifically designed for learning purposes but can be found, applied, and used for learning purposes (Setijadi, 1986: 9).
Based on the above concepts, learning resources are basically a component of an instructional system which includes messages, people, materials, equipment, techniques and settings (environment). In this paper, the focus of the learning resource studied is the internet. While people, materials, equipment and techniques are supporting learning resources. bandarq online
Learning Method Through the Internet
Internet-based learning for elementary school students should be introduced. For this reason, teachers should know in advance about the world of the internet before applying this learning to students. Preparation that is no less important is the computer facility. Of course, in this case it can only be applied in schools that have adequate computer facilities. Although in fact it can also be managed by schools that do not have computer facilities, for example by visiting an internet cafe as a partner in the learning.
After all the tools for learning are ready, the teacher starts learning using internet learning resources. For elementary school students, of course, easy accesses related to the subjects being taught. This is where the expertise of a teacher is shown in accompanying, guiding and processing learning methods so that the expected learning objectives are achieved.
Several methods that can be used by the teacher, including: discussion, demonstration, problem solving, inquiry, and description. The teacher gives certain topics to students, then students look for things related to this by searching (down load) from the internet. The teacher can also give light tasks that require students to access from the internet, for example in learning Indonesian, students can search for poetry or short stories from the internet. Students can also learn from the internet about things that are up to date related to knowledge. The teacher gives the task to students to find a recent event from the internet then discuss it in class, then students compile a report from the results of the discussion.
These methods can be carried out by the teacher with various learning models so that students are more happy, interested in learning them so that the learning process becomes meaningful learning. With internet-based learning, it is expected that students will get used to critical thinking and encourage students to become self-taught learners. Students will also get used to finding various information from various sources to study. This learning also educates students to work with other students in small groups or teams. One more thing that is not less important is that with internet-based learning, students' knowledge and insights develop, being able to improve student learning outcomes, thus the quality of education will also increase.
