b. How do the rules sound in each of these places?
c. What are the risks? E-mail chain? Chat? Access to inappropriate websites? Publicly posting unkind things about someone? What about possible copyright infringement?
d. Is the filter software activated? How does this work? What about the risk of a filter that is too tight so that useful sites cannot be accessed and vice versa if it is too loose so that many unsuitable sites can be accessed. What do students do if they want to access the blocked site?
e. What are the regulations regarding downloads? Have students been informed about the possibility that the downloaded file may catch a virus and then spread?
f. Is the student's full name, photo, school telephone number, house, parent's name, address, etc. also displayed on the school website?

One of the most practical steps that can be taken by schools to reduce the use of the Internet for non-educational purposes is to install filters. This filter works by filtering out previously defined words or site addresses to prevent them from being displayed. For example, if students type words like “sex”, “porn”, or “breast” into a search engine, then it is certain that there is no website that can be displayed.
For families, usually the rules for children in surfing are: placing the computer in the family room, limiting hours of use, not accessing certain sites in accordance with the agreements that have been made, not giving personal identities to strangers or websites that are not yet known.
